Meniscus Tear? Don’t let them go untreated!

History: 25-yr-old patient was suffering from a peripheral lateral meniscus tear.

Case: Take a close look at the tibial cartilage, the fraying is because of the unstable meniscus moving in and out during flexion and extension causing friction of cartilage. Dr. Amyn Rajani repaired the meniscus with an all-inside arthroscopic technique.

The meniscus is now stabilised and will heal to the posterior capsule in 6 weeks. 4 weeks of non- weight bearing restriction of terminal knee, bending for 6 weeks and avoiding squatting for 3 months are the rehabilitation protocol for this patient.
